So as appealing as they look, how often do you find yourself calling just because your cards are suited? Well these hands are HIGHLY overrated! Dont believe me? Playing suited cards only rasies your hands odds by 3%!
Now if you do play them, make sure to pick your hands, suited connectors good, A _ suited... good, but why call with 2 8 just because its suited, not a good move!
What happens if you play 20 pots trying to hit a flush and miss 19 times? What happens if you get no action on the time hit? If this is a tactic you use, you might consider having a rethink as this will be why you are likely loosing money.
Don't be tempted into big pots with suited cards if you don't hit on the flop. The odds are that you will lose more than you win in the long run. The only time that you should consider it, is if you have a straight draw and a flush draw on the flop. This situation will give you more outs and is worth a call providing you are not putting all your chips in to find out. As a general rule you should bet big when you have the best hand. Betting wildly on draws will often lead you into trouble.
AGREE???

Suited connectors are nice, though, it's hard to resist playing 'em.

I dont generally play cards just because they are suited. This is a very bad idea, and ya wont get far with this strategy. After playing a few hands in a ring game, you will find out fast.

Suited is nothing more then a bonus IMO.

But it sure is nice to hit 4 to a Flush with the nut A in your hand.

Suited A is different then suited junk and many times worth seeing the Flop.

suited cards can be good or bad...connected cards can be good or bad...suited and connected are better then both...but from all the info I have it's still high cards dominate low cards for the most part. Two elements that have got to factor in is your position on the table and your stack in relation to the other players.....I'd rather take 2 unsuited, unconnected bullets any day!

I usually only play suited cards if the are connected, or both bigger than a jack.
